Who am I?
I'm a Product Design Intern at Dayforce designing web and mobile experiences for HR workforce management tools. I am currently completing a Master of Information (User Experience Design concentration) at the University of Toronto, graduating August 2025.
Previously, I was a Product Analyst at FreshBooks where I analyzed customer feedback to improve the user experience of accounting software for small business owners. Before that, I studied accounting and finance and was an auditor at Ernst & Young.
As a curious, collaborative, and communicative individual, I am motivated to solve complex problems with intentional designs that leave a meaningful impact in the world.

My transition from accounting into UX
I first attended the University of Waterloo, where I was studying to become a CPA in the renowned Accounting and Financial Management program. I sharpened my analytical, collaboration, and communication skills through co-ops in audit for tech, retail, and financial companies at Ernst & Young. However, I always gravitated towards the more creative aspects of work, like creating aesthetically-pleasing slides.
After learning about UX/UI and product design through friends in technology from UWaterloo and doing some deep soul-searching, I decided to pivot into tech. I realized that I valued continuous learning, creative problem-solving, and seeing tangible impact.
This realization led me to FreshBooks, a B2B SaaS company for small business owners. I built up the Accounting Support Program, hiring accounting specialists, handling escalation tickets, implementing new processes and creating training for new hires. Then, I transitioned into a role as a Product Analyst at FreshBooks, working closely with product managers and product designers.
However, being a designer was always my final goal. I decided to go back to school to complete my Master's in UX Design, so that I am set up to thrive in a design career in the long-run.
My upbringing as a 1.5 generation immigrant growing up in the multicultural city of Toronto led me to thrive in diverse environments and constantly seek out growth and learning opportunities. As a kid, my weekends were filled with classes in visual art, piano, skating, French class, and swimming. While some have remained my hobbies, others have become stepping stones into skills and activities like graphic design, photography, and travelling.
